Review of Master of the Flying Guillotine (1976) by Jason G — 05 Apr 2008
Almost every action film that YOU have ever enjoyed post 1977... owes in some way to The Master of the Flying Guillotine.
Classic characters... each with their own quirk and style, set out against our hero the one armed boxer... The fights are well choreographed (in that old-fashioned, 70's era martial arts way...) and the characters are all quite memorable. (One or two of them were even "co-opted" into the STREET FIGHTER series of videogames that came out years and years later)...
The storyline is decent, (for a chop-socky flick), but that's not really why you're here, is it?
Watch it for the action!
One of the best in it's genre!
