Review of Mask (1985) by Satomi N — 21 Oct 2007
I came upon this movie by accident, but it was unexpectedly touching. It's sort of ironic how he probably wouldn't have had the illness if his mother wasn't a druggie from a biker gang, yet wouldn't have had a loving, embracing "family" had he not been born as part of them, either.
I love how Rocky shows Diana, a blind girl, to "see" color and texture...it's quite a powerful film. People say Cher is good in this, but I think she looks stiff and doll-like alot (then again I've never seen her in anything else).
