Review of Mask (1985) by Daniel T — 12 Jan 2010
This is a beautiful movie based on a true story. Stoltz plays Rocky, a young man with a rare disability that disfigures his face. Although sometimes you feel incredibly sad, he deals with his disability in comical and light-hearted ways.
There are some very sweet humourous scenes. Cher is amazing as his mother. She is a biker chick and hangs out with other bikers. It was introduced to me at a young age because my parents were keen bikers back then.
I loved it as a child and still to this day. The ending gets me everytime.
