Brilliant comedy which inspired so much. Not every film has to have a plot and can simply allow character involvement take over but its very hard to pull it off but this so does. The odd war scene brings the film down to earth with a thud just to remind us exactly what the context is and becomes more than just a standard comedy film.
Donald Sutherland and Elliott Gould form a superb patnership as they bounce off each other effortlessly. Great characters and one you will continue to laugh from after several viewings.
