Review of M*A*S*H (1970) by Sarah B — 18 Jul 2008
Umm . . . I disliked this movie because Hawkeye acts like a prick, the movie seems oddly miscast (at least after watching every season of the TV series), it seems like an extended, long episode of a show, and Burns is not the lame person that he should appear to be.
Yeah, this is an anti-war movie made for the Vietnam era that thinks it is witty, edgy, intelligent, and humorous; it only received a few modest grins. I mean, at least The Valley of Elah seems more fair in its distaste for war.
By the way, I hate songs about suicide and that M*A*S*H* music compilation is a song about suicide.
