This film is no less subversive now than it was in 1970. In fact I'm kind of sad that there hasn't been a good roast of the military spawned from our current crop of senseless, needless wars. Anyway this is potent stuff, a film for the ages, loose and freewheelin' as only Altman has been able to do.
To quote Hawkeye..."Finest kind.".
