Review of Masculin Féminin (1966) by John M — 26 Mar 2009
Narrative is replaced by attitudes expressed by the youthful cast from left wing politics, love, sex, music and war. There are many long takes and close ups of peoples faces so we can really look closely at the characters as they express themselves.
Some scenes are deep and philosophical and some scenes did not do it for me. I might have missed the point. Not the best I've seen from Goddard, but still a thought provoking piece.
