Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Matt S — 20 Nov 2007
This movie offers a lot more background information as to why Dr. Frankenstein became the way he was than the original James Whale/Boris Karloff movie. Although I like both movies, this is actually more true to the novel (hence the title "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein") than the original.
Robert DeNiro is excellent in his part as the deformed monster in this one. This movie is both scary and macabre. Well worth seeing.
