Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Liam C — 12 Aug 2013
This movie was absolutely pathetic. It didn't do one thing right, to me. The acting was laughably bad and the story was awful! How do you screw up De Niro! Furthermore, how do you screw up Frankenstein? Oh, I know, by making up some stupid plot lines and edits that weren't in the book! This movie seriously had no idea what it was doing.
I'm sure if I hadn't have read the book I wouldn't have been able to pick the flaws because I didn't know any different but because I read the book I was just picking all the flaws and then after that I didn't miss much.
I'm not sure who this was made for and I seriously don't see the point of the extreme edits. Perhaps to differentiate itself from the book and to make it a little different? But why would you do that to this book!
