Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Amanda C — 16 Jul 2008
As another reviewer noted, this film aught to be called "Kenneth Branagh's Frankenstein" because its resemblance to the novel is about as close as the 1931 film. Branagh might be a great theatre director, but the problem is, he's trying to direct a movie.
And he fails. Big time. Overdone camera work, overacted terrible script, and general sloppiness abound. A terrible, terrible film.
