Review of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) by Tiffany F — 26 Jan 2008
Frankenstein as it should properly be understood. Branaugh's performance is a bit over the top at times (a fault I doubt he'll ever shake) but Deniro successfully imbues the monster with the humanity that has been lacking in popular interpretations of Shelly's work.
Helena Bonham Carter steals the film, though.
