Review of Mary Reilly (1996) by Emily A — 08 Apr 2007
This movie is really good, and the only thing keeping it from being great is it's pace. It's just this side of inert. Apart from that, it's witty and subtle and is based on a really brilliant idea.
John Malkovich is superb in this, and I just find Hyde's fascination for Mary to be delicious. Glenn Close is equally spicy, which makes it a shame that she appears so briefly.
