FANTASTIC!!! Mary Queen of Scots is often mistaken as Mary I (Bloody Mary). I am so happy this movie was made. It brought a unique perspective. It stayed rather true to history. Yes, the movie is long, but it doesn't feel it. There is so much that occurred in this time that must be shown and understood to truly understand the situation Mary was in. Focus Features killed it yet again with an amazing period drama.
The acting was AMAZING as well. I'm wondering if some of the bad reviews are coming from a lack of care about history. It's definitely not over the top just to draw you in, and for that, I am grateful! Way to truly tell the story as it should be told.
