Review of Mary Queen of Scots (2018) by Robert C — 19 Dec 2018
Mary and Eizabeth are presented as a study in contrasts: Mary tries to live her authentic self and in the process makes a series of political blunders; Elizabeth sacrifices any sense of self to maintain power.
Neither is ideal, and the two characters work in a kind of ying-yang relationship. In the end it's an interesting portrayal but not one that is emotionally involving.
