Review of Mary and Max (2009) by Evan K — 31 Dec 2010
Maybe it was all my time working at the independent film festival, but this film seems common, cliche, and redundant. It's not bad, but I'm bored of these existential drab film with their quaint humor and hollow resolutions.
Unless you consider life to be a cruel coincidence with the only joy and hope being that which you create and is exclusively given to a select few who see some holy truth that cannot be shared bla bla bla.
Go read Plato and stop making film.
