Review of Mary and Max (2009) by Richard D — 19 Jun 2011
The idea is just simple. Which is probabbly why it wasn't picked up by a larger animation company, a la Pixar. Mary and Max was not picked up by an animation company because it covers larger areas, like death, love, sex, hate, human behavior and much more all under 90 minutes.
The word, Triumph for completeing this task of covering such dark areas for children is really understating. I don't know how someone wrote a script this juicy and fresh, but whoever it was, has my movie ticket for everyone of his films with his name on it.
WATCH OUT PIXAR!
