A refreshing movie told with the bittersweet and witty ironic black humor about friendship and loneliness. There's lots to laugh and to think about Mary and Max. The characters and subject are interesting.
This movie is different from many mainstream animated films such as Shrek and The Incredibles.because the humor in this pulled off so effortlessly with the more simpler things in life. I also love how the movie is made using stop motion animation.
