With 2 of the most talented actress of our times, I expected this movie to be better. Hume Cronyn was reduced to bed, mouthing less than a few words!!?? What a waste of talent. It's nice to see a young but rebellious Leonardo, beginning to shine.
The theme is depressing, so that should limit its mass appeal. However there is a hidden hint of optimism.
