Review of Marty (1955) by Chloe S — 17 Jun 2007
A great film about average people, loneliness and the fear of being unwanted; simple themes, but poignant.
Definitely underrated, but worth watching for great acting and things so real that happen to them that you can relate to them. In a word, this film is RARE. (It seems to end a little suddenly, but then again, for the point trying to be made by the film, it can get away with that.).
