Review of Marty (1955) by Josh C — 01 Apr 2009
Solid acting throughout makes a rather simple story about aging, romance, looks (and family life with the Mother and Aunt) into a very entertaining movie. It appears on many "must-see" lists and I can't argue with that.
It is a quintessential "bare bones" film. This could hypotheticall be re-made on a shoe string budget of a couple thousand. Kudos to the actors and filmmakers for a very well done work.
