Review of Marty (1955) by Stephen E — 23 Mar 2013
Delbert Mann's "Marty" is short and simple, but a real lovable film. In an Academy Award-winning performance, Ernest Borgnine brings the fragile, honest character of Marty Pilletti to life with his earnest charm and classic 'nice guy' mentality.
"Marty" lags only when it comes to its less-interesting subplots, but when it focuses just on the titular character and his quest for true love, it's really quite something.
