As clever and subtle as Romero will ever be. "Martin" has a playful menace to it, and a bit more ambiguity than your standard horror fare. Still, while the premise is great, the execution was altogether a little bland.
..quite like your standard horror fare. The Dawn of the Dead remake bettered its overrated original, so who's to say Martin isn't due for a little tweaking?
