Review of Married Life (2008) by Sherri S — 10 Apr 2008
Married Life is a good, but not great, film that carefully balances film noir with dark comedy. It is an interesting look at love in the 1940s, but it fails to be extremely compelling. The film is slow and drags in parts, which is bad considering the film is only 90 minutes long.
The performances in the film are good, however, and were the main reason I could endure the film's slow pace. There were a few twists and turns, but nothing that was unpredictable. Overall, Married Life is a good way to spend 90 minutes of your time.
