Review of Married Life (2008) by Kimberly T — 28 Nov 2008
I've heard and read terrible reviews of this movie. I don't understand why because I actually enjoyed it a lot and reveled in its awesome-ness. I watched the movie before I read those reviews and without even seeing a trailer, so I didn't really know what it was about, so I guess that I had no expectatives whatsoever on the movie, which might have been the reason that made like it so much.
The sole presence of Rachel McAdams adds plus points in my book, she is one of my favorite actresses out there. Pierce Brosnan's coolness is always an asset. Add to that Patricia Clarkson, lots of cigarrettes, a 50's/60's setting and a wardrobe to die for and you have a must-see film and cinematography at its best.
The plot was enjoyable and the meanness of it made my perverse and twisted taste awakend and delight itself.
