Review of Marley & Me (2008) by Applebee T — 01 Aug 2011
Family movies always value life with the lifting up story. The story does not focus either the married life or the dog, it's kinda light in both parts. If the story focuses on the dog more then the loss will be more touching.
I like the part when the wife says about almost giving up all who she is to take care of kids and household. But it is a little bit weird to me when they bury the dog with jewelry and letters because the whole story does not show much of the bounding, it's a bit shallow.
And I think, why they chose the two main characters like that because the husband doesn't look like a family man and the wife, I can't help but to think of her in her real life. The movie make me cry anyway ! and I really love the ending part after burying the dog, "how many will make you feel extraordinary" Awww and I think of dogs' loyalty and stuffs then I cry.
