Review of Marked Woman (1937) by Jeff Z — 09 Jan 2010
Dated Bette Davis potboiler about a escort girl who turns against her crimelord boss after he kills her sister. She decides to play ball with prosecutor David Graham (Humphrey Bogart) and agrees to testify against him.
However this is less interesting than it sounds. Based on the story of Lucky Luciano, the most interesting thing is seeing Bogart's 2nd wife Mayo in action as one of the girls. He dropped her like a hot rock when he met Bacall.
