Inspired by the life of gangster Lucky Luciano, this film takes hold of you and doesn't let go. Davis not only grabs your attention, she commands it. Davis works as a clip-joint hostess, who along with some of the other hostesses, decides to bravely testify against the big boss Vanning.
The ending is unbelievably perfect and powerful.
