I found this an interesting character study of a woman oblivious to the way she disrupts the lives of those she professes to love. She seems not to care who gets caught in the blast when she lobs her verbal mortar rounds.

Only at the end, does she seem to make a choice that takes into account the feelings of others, but is that really why she gets on the bus? Or is it because the only option left to her is to return to her miserable life, and let others get on with theirs.

Must our stars always play loveable characters? Can we not learn from a character like Margot, even if it only to see the dark side of the pursuit of happiness? I applaud Nicole's bravery in accepting this role.

It has to be extremely difficult to play someone as completely self-absorbed as Margot, if only because the audience is so prone to transferring their dislike for the character onto the actress. But that is the power of cinema.

Loved the acting, hated the story. All in all, not pleasant, but worth viewing.
