Review of Margot at the Wedding (2007) by Jeremy R — 23 Nov 2008

A challenging movie to endure as it is depressing and soaked in negativity. Most will find the psycho-babble too cerebral. Kidman and Leigh give strong performances that will be overlooked due to choppy directing and questionable editing.

I have enjoyed Black in his more serious roles, but, this was painful - notably his crying. Watching the movie is like being cornered by someone telling their awkward and pointless life story. At least you can get on with your life once the story is over and you realize that you have no vested interest.
