Review of Margot at the Wedding (2007) by Ryan S — 17 May 2009
These dysfunctional realistic drama's are starting to wear me out. Squid and the Whale, the recent Rachel Getting Married, while all wonderful films, they are emotionally exaughsting.
Margot falls right in line with those 2 films. The performances are very strong, but no one in the film is likable. I love Jack Black in this role and I would love to see him keep acting in dramatic films.
In the end I wouldn't say it is an enjoyable experience, but I'm glad I experienced it anyway.
