Review of Margarita (2012) by Roxanne R — 29 Apr 2014
A hidden gem in the Netflix instant streaming selection! An undocumented Mexican nanny named Margarita (NIcola Correia) for years has helped her employers with raising up their daughter Mali (M. Ritter), cook, clean, and even fix appliances and things around the home.
Unfortunately tragedy strikes when her employers (a couple of doctors living in Toronto Canada) become find themselves about to lose their home and other assets due to bad investment decisions. Margarita's gf is a law student named Jane (C.
Horne) who is unwilling to commit. Faced with job loss and deportation, the future of Margarita is at stake so what will happen...A lovely film, thought provoking in so many levels and bravo to the cast and crew for doing a fantastic job! Definitely recommended and I think many households would be lucky to have a nanny like Margarita because she is one of a kind!
