Review of March of the Penguins (2005) by Jessica H — 28 Sep 2012
Narrated by Morgan Freeman, this nature documentary follows a flock of penguins going through a mating cycle. It focuses on one couple as they hook up, reproduce, and raise their offspring. Writer/director Luc Jacquet lays it on a bit thick when his narrative describes "the true love of penguins", but otherwise this film is as entertaining as it is adorable.
It's really hard not to root for a cute little baby penguin; a fact this movie exploits to the fullest.
