A documentary focusing on the life cycle of the arctic penguin, March of the penguins is a surprisingly blunt and utterly fascinating documentary showing us real footage of how these remarkable creatures survive (or at least try) on the coldest continent of the earth. As the brave filmmakers get outstanding footage of these waddling birds, one will realize they never knew the life of a penguin better until now.

Filmed on location (this group actually was brave enough to travel to Antarctica to make this film) and narrated well by Morgan Freeman, this film is to be pondered for generations to come. The group evidently has done very thorough research on these birds and their lifecycle, and filming it all completely brings it to life! Now we get to see how these mammals survive in the harshest of winters, dodge predators and struggle for survival (sadly, many donâ??t make it through the vicious ice storms) and live to create life to go on for future generations and protect their young (which is often a difficult task with no guarantees). It is no wonder they travel around the frigid continent in one big happy family and count on each other to see another day when things get unbearable. It may make the public admire these animals more than any other species know to humans.

The filming crew did a remarkable job filming this footage (not to mention the fact that they experienced the excruciating weather on the continent) all so we could have a better understanding of what these fascinating birds do on a daily basis. There is no way one can think of penguins the same way anymore and nobody could ever imagine the struggles the go throughâ?¦or how incredibly cute and cuddly their offspring are.
