Review of Marathon Man (1976) by Kev H — 24 Mar 2008
It's plot has holes but it doesn't matter. The form comes in the ease to which Schlesinger crafts each individual scene. The villian is memorable and has an edge that only Olivier could bring. Even at the end of his career he can show up Hoffman any day but the show does, in fact, go to Hoffman.
He is who we are routing. Memorable torture scene too.
