"Marathon Man" has shades of Hitchcock with the necessary trappings of the kind of thriller that was prominent at the time: a suspense story fueled by dark paranoia and extremely high tension.
Even today, the film manages to make the same kind of impact that it made at the time of its release. After you've seen it, you'll be asking yourself that one question: is it safe? Is it safe? Is it safe?
