It could be boring for modern thriller-lovers but as we recall only few thrillers stand out in this decade. It is rare for thrillers to take a moment for beautiful camera work like Marathon Man. The silent revelation during running or chase sequences takes the heart away.
The synthetic sound on top of orchestra compositions made the film even more unpredictable and menacing than ever.
