Review of Marathon Man (1976) by Michael H — 22 Apr 2014
I found this surprisingly ineffective and wonder if the reason the dental torture scenes are the only parts people remember because the rest isn't quite worth writing home about. It's got a great writer and a great cast, but somehow it never becomes the suspense-thriller I wanted it to be; the pace is too languid and the character-building scenes lack payoff.
It feels too long by about a half hour.
