The darkest of dark satire -- so far out of the bounds of good taste and veering so deep into perversity / transgression -- this neb-gothic film is classic Cronenberg. Julianne Moore may have won the Oscar for Still Alice, but this is a brave, brazen and deeply disturbing performance.
Certainly not for all tastes, but this excessive and absurd study of contemporary celebrity is completely unique.
