Review of Maps to the Stars (2014) by Kenneth L — 26 Jul 2015
Notable performances, the movie begins with the promise and wit of a film with something to say about a culture obsessed with fame or at least with notoriety. Suddenly, all of the humor vanishes, and the film circles its own corpse to a grimy (the film may have been going for disturbing but it comes off as simply depraved) and completely unaffecting end.
