Review of Mao’s Last Dancer (2009) by David K — 17 Sep 2010
Lovely. A bit sentimental at times, a bit melodramatic at at times, but lovely nonetheless. Strong characters, a good story well told, uneven but mostly very good cinematography, and some very strong performances make this film well worth seeing.
If you can keep both eyes dry from start to finish, you probably have ice water running through your veins.
