Review of Mao’s Last Dancer (2009) by Daniel C — 07 May 2010
A touching & fantastic story of Li Cunxin who is taken from his family in regional China at an early age to train in dancing. He ends up in the United States and defects to hold onto his new found freedom. This movie takes you through that emotional ride and the difficult situation he found himself in after being cut off from his home and his family.
Definitely worth a watch.
