Stylistically a really nice movie and the dancers are amazing! However I think the portrayal of communist china is a little too capitalistic and therefore not all that believable. Also the movie doesn't leave you with anything to ponder about.
. then again it is based on a real life story, so I guess it could be an accurate simplicity. to summarize : beautiful story and visual style, but not too engaging.
