This is the compelling autobiography of Li Cunxin This movie gives a rare insight into the life of the peasants in Red China under the reign of Mao Tst Tung. Upon Mao's death when Li was a teenager, new leadership Li to go to America on a cultural exchange progam.
From there. Li decides to stay in America and leave his family behind in China. A must see movie for anyone interested in the Arts. Even if you don't like ballet the storyline will compel you to watch until the end.
Very well done, excellent direction and superb choreography and musical accompaniment..
