Review of Manic (2001) by Natalie S — 01 Feb 2009
A terrific low-budget film that really showcases firsthand the amazing talents of Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He really is sensational as the lead in this film. He portrays the character of a deeply angered and distraught young man in a refreshing way- so much so that I forgot how cliche the role itself was.
This film certainly resonated with me long after I saw it. Gordon-Levitt makes this a truly stellar effort that shows the effects that rampant social problems have had on this particular group of young people.
