Review of Manic (2001) by Samuel D — 28 May 2009
Difficult subjects such as depression and violence well executed. The way in which its shot gives it a raw edge and makes the characters seem as unstable as they're meant to be. Gordon-Levitt is, as always, excellent, but Cheadle is the one who pulls it all together.
This is his best performance that I can recall, surpassing his role in Crash, and Hotel Rwanda. Loved it.
