Review of Maniac (2012) by Ws W — 11 Jan 2015
Surprisingly effective performance by our favourite Hobbit, who knew Eljiah Wood could take a role like this and genuinely scare. It's an experimental art house gore fest, and it's very creepy at times.
It doesn't make much sense at times, but who cares... It's really not supposed to. It's a look at a very very disturbed man.
The sound track is sublime, it's the best score I've heard since Drive.
It's gory, so not for the feint hearted.
