Review of Maniac (1980) by Manny C — 09 Oct 2010
Maniac follows a serial killer around New York city while he kills women. Oh, he's also insane or conflicted or something.
Most of the gory scenes happen within the first twenty minutes of the film and one scene where Tom Savini gets shot in the face with a shotgun is unreal. One of the greatest make up-gore scenes I've ever seen.
After that, nothing really happens and we're stuck with awfulness and boredom. I'll say that the shotgun to the head scene is worth checking out, if you are into that sort of stuff.
Skip the rest of it.
