Review of Maniac (1980) by Austin T — 14 Jun 2006
In what has become one of the most cliche horror movie plot devices ever, Maniac follows the story of a man who was abused by his mother as a child. Although the story was a bit cliche it led to some great kills against the female race (and if you think that its hateful to women, you probably would be if you were in his shoes so back off).
Overall the movie has a fairly quick pace, some awesome deaths (shotgun to the face? oh no he didn't!!!!) and a great scene near the end.
Maniac may not be perfect, but its definitely a fun romp in the horror/slasher genre.
