Review of Maniac (1980) by Eric L — 26 May 2011
Say what you will about "Maniac"...but I can see why many claim it to be a precursor to other popular slasher films released in the 80s. It's gritty with the same feeling of a snuff movie - much like "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" only not as effective.
Joe Spinell, however, will creep you out as Frank Zito. I didn't like this movie because it felt too real.
