Review of Manhunter (1986) by Anthony D — 05 May 2008
Gripping, stylish, and atmospheric thriller, with good performances and an interesting story: a man trying to find a serial killer by thinking like him. But the 80's techno music and zooms/camera work are really cheesy and kind of distract.
And perhaps this film's major downside is how it's now overshadowed by the undeniably superior Silence of the Lambs. Seeing the inferior remake Red Dragon didn't help much, either.
